Asian Slaw


2 3-ounce packages of beef-flavored Ramen noodle soup mix
1 16-ounce package of slaw mix or 2 cups of shredded cabbage
1 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1 cup sesame seeds
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
½ cup sugar
¾ cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup of regular vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  1.  Remove flavor packets from soup mix and set aside.
  2. Crush the noodles in place in the bottom of a large bowl.  Top with slaw mix, sprinkle with almonds, sesame seeds and green onions.
  3. Whisk together the contents of the flavor packets with sugar, oil and vinegar.  Pour over slaw mix and chill for 24 hours.
  4. Mix well before serving.  If making for a large group, double the recipe.
