Coffee Punch (for the Coffee Lover)


2 cups water
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 oz. instant coffee
1 gallon of 2% or whole milk
1 Tbsp vanilla
1/2 gallon ice cream

  1.  Boil water and sugar to dissolve.  Turn off heat.  Add coffee.  Cover.  Steep until it is cool. 
  2. Pour off 3 cups milk and set aside.  Pour coffee into gallon of milk.  Add vanilla and shake. 
  3. In a large punch bowl or serving bowl, pour the coffee mixture over the ice cream.
  4. Serve in chilled mugs with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
