Ingredients
:
1 ½ cups Self-Rising Buttermilk Cornbread Mix
1 cup buttermilk or sweet milk
1 egg
¼ cup finely diced onion
Cooking oil
Directions
:
Mix together cornbread mix, milk, egg and onion. Stir to combine.
Add about ¼ inch deep of cooking oil to a medium-size or iron skillet.
Over medium heat, drop heaping spoonfuls of batter. Cooking until golden brown on each side.
Drain on paper towels.
