Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 4 tablespoon sweet mustard
  • 4 romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

Directions:
  1. In a medium skillet, combine onion slices and olive oil; stir to coat onions with olive oil.  Cook on medium heat until onions are brown; about 30 minutes. Add additional olive oil if the onions slices start to stick.
  2. Divide ground chuck into four patties. Broil in the oven or grill until cooked through. Once burgers are done, top with provolone cheese just long enough to melt. Remove from heat.
  3. Grill apple slices wither on the grill or on the stove top in a grill pan. Cook, turning occasionally until apple slices are tender.
  4. Assemble burgers by spreading both sides of buns with the sweet maple mustard; add cheeseburger patty; then lettuce, apples, onions and bacon.
