Squash Dressing by Shirley Strickland – Winner in the Side Dish Category
Ingredients
:
2 cups cooked, drained and mashed yellow squash
2 cups crumbled cornbread
1 (10 ounce) Can of cream of chicken soup
1 small onion chopped
½ cup margarine, melted
Crumbled sage to taste (start with ½ teaspoon)
Salt and pepper to taste
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
Directions
:
Combine first 5 ingredients.
Add seasonings to taste, stir in eggs, pour into greased 2-quart baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
Serves 8.
