Sweet and Salty Grilled Cheese

  • 1 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 ½ cups grated Swiss cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ½ stick of butter, softened
  • 8 thick slices of white sandwich bread
  • 1 cup fruit spread or preserves
  1. Mix the cheeses together.
  2. Spread butter on both sides of the bread. Lay the bread slices flat and pile grated cheese on one slice of bread. 
  3. Spread fruit or preserves on other slice of bread and close sandwich.
  4. Cook in a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Remove from heat. Cut in half and serve warm.
