Tea Cakes

Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ sticks butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
 
Directions:
  1. Mix together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, blend well.
  2. Add flour, powder and salt.  Mix together and put mixture in refrigerator to chill. Needs to chill at least 1 hour.
  3. Roll out dough onto floured surface until about ½ inch thick. Cut out tea cakes using round cookie or biscuit cutter.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes, careful not to burn.
