Ingredients
:
1 ½ sticks butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
:
Mix together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, blend well.
Add flour, powder and salt. Mix together and put mixture in refrigerator to chill. Needs to chill at least 1 hour.
Roll out dough onto floured surface until about ½ inch thick. Cut out tea cakes using round cookie or biscuit cutter.
Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes, careful not to burn.
