Burrito Turkey Burgers


Vegetable cooking spray
2 lb. ground turkey
1 can chopped green chilies, drained (4oz.)
1 c. chopped onion
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix (1.25 oz)
 8 flour tortillas (8")
1 can non-fat refried beans (16 oz.)
Lettuce shredded
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Salsa, optional
Hot pepper sauce, optional


1. Spray cold grill rack with vegetable cooking spray. Preheat grill for direct-heat method cooking.
2. In medium bowl combine turkey, chilies, onion and seasoning mix; shape into burgers. 
3. Grill 3 to 4 minutes, turn and continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes or until 160° F. is reached on meat thermometer and meat is no longer pink in center.
4. Remove and keep warm.
5. Heat tortillas according to package directions. Spread each tortilla with 1/4 c. refried beans and sprinkle with lettuce.
6. Place burgers in center of each tortilla and sprinkle 1 Tbsp. of cheese over top. Fold sides of tortilla over burger to create a burrito.
7. Apply hot sauce and salsa to taste.
