Chunky Cherry Applesauce

Ingredients:

8 apples, peeled and cored (preferably Granny Smith)

1 (16 ounce) package of frozen pitted unsweetened cherries

½ cup sugar to taste

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:

Put all ingredients in a 4-quart slow cooker.

Cook on low for 10 hours.

Cool and store in refrigerator.
Makes about 6 ½ cups. Can be served as a side dish, over meat or over pound cake.
