Sour Cream Pound Cake

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups flour
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine and cream the butter, sugar, and add the sour cream.
  3. Sift the baking soda and flour together. 
  4. Add the sifted flour to the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating each egg one at a time. 
  5. Add the vanilla and pour the mixture into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. 
  6. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
