Tropical Fruit Slush Punch submitted by Sharon Rich, First Runner-Up in the Appetizer Category

  • 6 cups water
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 (6 ounces) cans frozen orange juice
  • 1 (46 ounces) can pineapple juice
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 5-6 mashed bananas
  • 3 quarts of 7-Up

  1. Mix water and sugar and cook 3 minutes to make a simple syrup.
  2. Let cool and add to juices and bananas.
  3. Freeze.  Remove from freezer approx. 2 hours before serving and “slush” with potato masher or large spoon. 
  4. Add 7-Up before serving. 
  5. Makes 5 quarts.
  6. Perfect for a hot summer day!
